    About Me

My name is Samantha Zagha, and I am a photographer specializing in athletics and portraiture. I began as a horse show photographer interning for The Plaid Horse, which led me to work for Pinewood School photographing all lower, middle and upper campus sports during my junior and senior year as a student. On my gap year, I continued this job as well as covered events such as prom and graduation, pursued freelance work and held an internship for the Los Altos Town Crier.

I then went on to attend Northeastern University in Boston from 2021-2022, where I was a photographer for Tastemakers Magazine and WRBB Sports. In summer 2022, I participated in a journalism-based Dialogue of Civilizations program through NEU in Panama as a photojournalist for online magazine Beyond the Canal, and WCVB- TV (ABC) recently released a Chronicle episode about Panamanian culture and tourism featuring my footage and images. As of 2023, I am back in the Bay Area at Santa Clara University studying communications with emphases in both journalism and strategic communication. Since my arrival, I have been interning with the SCU Athletics Department for videography and photography, as well as working with Bay Area Online Sports Network through the athletic department as a camera operator for SCU games that air on ESPN+. This fall, I began my position as photography director for Santa Clara's The Redwood Yearbook as well as returned to my work with The Town Crier.
